Full-time Arts, Communications & MediaExpires March 18, 2021

The Development Intern supports the fundraising department of GrubStreet. This intern assists with membership registration and processing, direct mailing campaigns, event sponsorship, fundraising events, grant research and writing grant proposals, and other projects to support the Development team.

Internship Overview:

Internships generally run each semester (Fall, Spring, and Summer), and interns typically work for a minimum of 15 hours per week during office hours (Monday — Friday, 9:30am-6:30pm). Start and end dates are flexible, but we give preference to candidates who are able to stay for the longest amount of time. Schedules are casual, as are dress code and office atmosphere. We have a lot of fun at work and get a lot done; we expect the same from you. In exchange for your hard work, you’ll get an insider’s look at the Boston creative writing scene, free GrubStreet classes, and some valuable new skills. We’ve also been known to write some killer recommendations for those who are worthy. This is a great opportunity for students, recent grads, and anyone interested in nonprofit work and the arts.

Necessary skills for all interns:

ENTHUSIASM, willingness to work on a variety of projects, ability to work independently and with minimal direction, superb attention to detail, stellar organizational skills, ability to learn new tasks quickly, pride in a job well done, and the ability to do all these with cheer and a sense of humor.

Please note that interns do not have a role in instructing courses – but they do get to take a free class!

THE DEADLINE TO APPLY IS WEDNESDAY, March 17th by 11:59PM EST .
