We are seeking an experienced and creative application manager with outstanding interpersonal skills to lead small to midsize projects across multiple application platforms as well as being experienced working with end user business teams supporting their processes. The candidate will run multiple applications including FLEX PLM and Product Approvals. The Manager Applications Development will be the main interface to the client community and therefore should exhibit effective communication, organizational, and leadership skills. We expect from the candidate the following capabilities:

  • Communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
  • Capture and assess business requirements
  • Drive system design, development, and implementation
  • Lead software implementation and upgrades
  • Encourage and motivate a large team of developers onsite and offshore

A day in the life as a Manager Applications Development:

  • Coordinate small to midsize projects as primary solution lead and application owner
  • Lead internal and external team members through day to day support as well as project related work
  • Lead project efforts to ensure appropriate tasks, timelines and achievements are met
  • Communicating and coordinating with other IT teams such as infrastructure, project management, and organizational change
  • Manage application support through internal or external teams
  • Handle and execute off-shift system support as needed
  • Participate in corporate initiatives representing their application area evaluating development / support and security impacts of current and future projects

What you’ll bring:

We expect our candidate to bring several years of experience in the following:

  • Leading development / process teams through functional / technical requirements of custom development application as well as off the shelf packages (Such as SAP, PTC, Mulesoft)
  • Relationship databases, web applications, and object-oriented languages
  • PTC FLEX system implementation and in-depth functional knowledge
  • WRICEF development components as well as development operation processes for the above-mentioned technologies
  • Small/midsize projects and Team management
  • Coordinating activities of all project team members as project lead and application owner
  • Partnering with 3rd party providers on delivering all aspects of project and support execution
  • Cloud hosting or SaaS based solution implementation
