Data Scientist Scientist/Senior Data Scientist – Statistics/Biostatistics
About you:
ImmuneID aims to revolutionize therapeutic drug development by mapping immune disease drivers
through our unique, high-throughput and unbiased platforms. We are seeking a Data Scientist/Senior
Data Scientist, Statistics/Biostatistics to join our growing team of passionate researchers focused on
unlocking human immunology. As a key member of the Science team, the successful candidate will
support the team in developing novel statistical methods for the analysis and interpretation complex
biological assays and methods for the integration and interpretation of data generated across ImmuneID
platforms.
Job responsibilities:
• Partner with an interdisciplinary team in support of ImmuneID programs, with a focus on developing
statistical methods, algorithms, and computational pipelines for data generated from our
proprietary platforms along with public source data.
• Contribute to the development of multiple NGS pipelines and workflows, working in collaboration
with bioinformaticians and wet lab research teams to produce new technologies.
• Develop and apply, machine-learning, data analysis, data visualization, and computational methods
to diverse high-throughput datasets.
• Assist in optimizing and automating the pipeline for data analysis and interpretation.
• Engage with in-house and/or outsourced bioinformaticians/programmers.
• Contribute to the overall screening strategy for all programs.
• Stay up to date on statistical and analytical methods for new and emerging technologies, and
present scientific and technical data to colleagues in a clear and cohesive manner.
• Prepare project timetables, schedules, and deliverables.
• Work in a matrix environment with research partners.
• Participate in all required training, safety, regulatory, HR, laboratory notebook, and intellectual
property activities and corporate policies.
Professional experience/Qualifications:
• PhD/MSc in Statistics/Biostatistics (or related field), preferably with biopharmaceutical industry
experience.
• Experience developing novel statistical analytical methods for complex biological assays.
• Experience with Bayesian statistical modeling.
• Proficiency with programming and scripting languages, including R and Python.
• Experience with high throughput sequencing analysis methods.
• Highly motivated with ability to work successfully in a matrixed team environment and
independently.
