Position: Social Impact Analyst

Where you come in: You will be an integral part of generating content for our investigative responsibility reporting detailing the CSR policies of S&P 500 companies and evaluating them. Each analysis/report/review focuses on a different facet of our ESG/CSR dimensions: Environment, Employees, Community, and Corporate Governance. Beneath these umbrella terms, subsections that provide a more specific framework will guide your research on topics like resource management, diversity and labor rights, and community development and philanthropy. With this framework in place, you will have the freedom to investigate and publish on topics you feel most passionate about. Analysts will author one report per week about 1-3 pages in length. They will then upload their work to the platform while also providing feedback on the developing application.

Benefits: These analyses/reports/reviews are stored via a distributed ledger which functions almost like copyright for each piece you produce. Therefore, anything you write as an Impending Bloom analyst is wholly yours to claim and advertise anywhere that you would like. As your property, these pieces would be a fantastic addition to any portfolio, website, or serve as a professional writing sample for future positions. We are also more than willing to work with your school to provide academic credit for this position. Plus, you would be getting hands-on, valuable experience with investigative, business, and social impact writing with the freedom to work on your schedule. Our office hours are your office hours!

About the company: Impending Bloom is the future of social impact and micro-investing. Equal parts investment science, social impact, and art, Impending Bloom is designed to change the way people understand and experience value. Our multi-faceted platform combines investigative responsibility reporting and political ideology mapping to equip future investors with a clear picture of publicly traded companies’ responsibility practices. It is our belief that CSR (corporate social responsibility) should be given the same weight as company fundamentals or price action when deciding whether to invest. Thus, Impending Bloom is driven by the desire to empower and equip individuals with the information they need to invest with care.
