Join us for an engaged summer as our Visual Arts Kiln Technician for the upcoming Interlochen Arts Camp season. This is a paid position. Also, housing and all meals are included. The dates of employment are 6/20/23-8/7/23.
Major Responsibilities:
- Studio preparation and set-up Loading, unloading and firing kilns in coordination with the demands of the ceramics and sculpture studios
- Mix clay for classes, manage clay storage, inventory supplies, and studio clean up
- May be required to work nights and weekends depending on the firing schedule
- May assist with classes in the ceramics and sculpture studios and will assist with the department’s public and community programs as appropriate including monitoring open studio hours and other activities
