The intern will work with fine artist Ivana George, to find and cultivate relationships with new audiences for her artworks through digital communications and public relations projects. The intern will assist Ivana George on business management and growth. The tools of these strategies include target audience research, networking, blogging, video production, strategic organic social media, email marketing campaigns, advertising campaigns on social media and/or public relations campaigns. Running a successful business requires systems to keep records and manage operations smoothly and efficiently. The student will be provided with educational content to build knowledge on these topics. The intern will gain training and practical experience in digital marketing communications and business management.
Students in the Boston, MA area may participate in a hybrid in person (pending covid-19 vaccination) and remote video conference internship. Unvaccinated students or students outside the geographic area where artist Ivana George resides will be considered for remote only internship. Student needs to be able to earn academic credit to participate in the internship. Hours are flexible to meet the student schedule. Ivana George is available to meet virtually between Tuesdays- Saturdays. The commitment is 9-20 hours per week depending on the credits being earned by the student and the educational requirements of the student’s educational institution.

Execute public relations campaign to get Ivana’s artworks featured on blogs, websites, and/or print publications
Use analytics tools to evaluate results of marketing efforts and create reports
Help develop ideas for improvement of marketing results
Use analytics tools to evaluate customer experience on website and landing pages
A/B Test website pages and landing pages to improve conversion of email subscribers and sales
Help develop strategy to improve user experience and search engine optimization on company website and implement the changes
Art Inventory Management and Accounting
Research art consultant and interior design professionals to establish business collaborations
Seeking applicants with strong organizational skills, clear and concise writing skills, computer skills, familiarity with Linked In, Instagram, and Facebook social media platforms, and the ability to work independently with direction and mentorship of the supervisor. Knowledge of photo and/or video editing would be desired in a candidate. Training or experience with marketing analytics tools would be a desired but not required qualification. Applicants within the eastern or central time zone will be preferred. Students with majors or minors in Public Relations, Marketing, Small Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Digital Communications, and Film and Video Studies will be preferred. Students with visual arts or graphic design majors who have relevant minors, work experience or course work in marketing, public relations, entrepreneurship or digital communications may also apply.
