Assist with the initial research to determine Native American interest in JYF programming and how to best meet the educational needs of Native American students.

MAJOR RESPONSIBLITIES:

¨ Work with Foundation educators to create focusing questions

¨ Using focusing questions, speak with tribal leaders and educators across the nation

¨ Research and compile a list of Native American-focused museums and cultural centers for the Foundation to partner with.

¨ Create report on findings along with contact information for tribes

¨ Work with Foundation educators to devise a program concept based on findings

QUALIFICATIONS:

¨ Excellent typing/word processing.

¨ Proof-reading skills.

¨ Record keeping, and oral/written communication skills.

¨ Working knowledge of office practices and procedures.

¨ Ability to plan and organize.

¨ Ability to deal cooperatively, efficiently, and professionally with all levels of staff, management and the general public.

¨ Desire to learn more about museum education programming and public history
