The Business Development Team sits at the intersection of our trading, technology, operations, and compliance teams. Projects will involve analyzing complex documents and data sets from various sources and communicating relevant findings to different internal groups. You will also work with members of your team and others to identify bottlenecks in current processes, brainstorm solutions, and implement new business initiatives. Many projects will also require you to streamline existing procedures to facilitate continuity across Jane Street’s business areas. Through frequent, open discussions in a highly collaborative environment, you’ll have the opportunity to learn how a trading firm responds, develops, and evolves in competitive global markets.Please note that while we’re working remotely right now, we’re hoping to host our 2021 internships back in the New York office if public health conditions allow.About YouWe’re looking for a thoughtful, proactive rising senior/penultimate year graduate (expected graduation Dec 2021 – June 2022) who takes an analytical approach to multi-layered problems. You should be self-motivated, organized, careful, and detail-oriented. You’ll be expected to exercise good judgment as well as advanced time-management, project-management, and interpersonal skills.
