Job Title: Social Media Content Creator Intern

Company: KinnectCare

Job Type: Internship

Employment Type: Part-time

Location: Remote

Work Authorization: Open to candidates anywhere; candidates with ties to India, Nigeria, and/or the Philippines especially encouraged to apply

Duration: Summer 2026 (flexible)

About KinnectCare

KinnectCare is an early-stage startup building the health platform for diaspora families, people raising their lives in one country while their parents grow older in another. We turn ordinary video calls into early wellness signals, unify medical records across borders, and keep the whole family on one shared timeline. We’re pre-seed and building toward launch, and we’re looking for a creative storyteller to help the world discover us.

The Role

As our Social Media Content Creator Intern, you will help shape KinnectCare’s online presence across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, and X.

You will be responsible for creating content from idea to publication, brainstorming concepts, designing posts, editing videos, writing captions, and helping our community discover who we are and why our mission matters.

This is a hands-on creative role with the opportunity to build a startup brand from the ground up. You’ll work closely with the founding team to transform ideas, conversations, and stories into engaging social content.

Responsibilities

  • Create engaging social media content including:
    • Instagram carousel posts
    • Short-form videos (TikTok, Reels, Shorts)
    • Educational posts
  • Develop content ideas, hooks, scripts, captions, and creative concepts.
  • Edit short-form videos using tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Canva, or similar platforms.
  • Design graphics, carousels, and visual assets that match KinnectCare’s brand.
  • Repurpose founder insights, blog posts, interviews, and industry trends into social media content.
  • Create and maintain a consistent posting schedule across platforms.
  • Write captions that are clear, relatable, and emotionally engaging.
  • Research trends, formats, sounds, and content strategies to improve reach and engagement.
  • Monitor content performance and identify opportunities to improve.
  • Engage with relevant creators, healthcare communities, diaspora communities, and industry conversations.
  • Help grow KinnectCare’s audience by connecting with the right people and communities.

What We’re Looking For

  • Passion for storytelling, social media, and building online communities.
  • Experience creating content for Instagram, TikTok, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of what makes content perform:
    • Hooks
    • Storytelling
    • Trends
    • Visual pacing
    • Audience psychology
  • Comfortable creating both written and visual content.
  • Experience with video editing tools (CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, Canva, or similar).
  • Ability to create polished posts independently from an idea or rough concept.
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to experiment and test new ideas.
  • Comfortable working in an early-stage startup environment where things move quickly.
  • Current students and recent graduates are welcome to apply.

Nice to Have

  • Experience growing a social media account or personal brand.
  • Experience creating healthcare, technology, startup, or educational content.
  • Familiarity with content strategy and founder branding.
  • Experience with animation, motion graphics, or design.
  • Interest in AI, healthcare innovation, aging, caregiving, or global communities.
  • Personal connection to diaspora communities or cross-border family experiences.

What You’ll Gain

  • Ownership of KinnectCare’s social media presence from the beginning.
  • A portfolio of real-world content published across multiple platforms.
  • Hands-on experience creating content for an early-stage startup.
  • Direct collaboration with founders and the opportunity to influence brand direction.
  • Experience at the intersection of AI, healthcare, and mission-driven technology.
  • The chance to tell stories that impact families around the world.

A note on Stage and Compensation

We’re currently at the pre-seed stage, so we want to be transparent that this position is unpaid for now. We’ll be upfront about the tradeoffs of joining this early, while looking for someone who’s excited by the opportunity to build with us from the ground floor.
