Full-time Government, Law & International AffairsExpires May 8, 2021

Goldstein Immigration Lawyers is one of the leading immigration law firms in Boston. We are seeking a full-time paralegal. Due to the pandemic we are currently working remotely, so the position will not require the paralegal to be physically present in the office. However, we would prefer someone to be close to the Boston office (or open to moving to the Boston area) in the event that we shift back to part-time in-person office hours in the next year.

Our ideal candidate is highly-organized and detail-oriented, with excellent people skills and strong writing abilities. Our paralegals engage in significant client contact and gain a great deal of insight into immigration law. Our paralegals work closely with our clients to fill out forms, draft affidavits explaining their immigration cases, and gather documents in support of their cases. In addition to these tasks, our paralegals have administrative responsibilities such as making copies, answering the phone, scheduling appointments, billing clients, and delivering documents to court.

Legal experience and knowledge of immigration law aren’t required–we will train you. Spanish, Portuguese, or Vietnamese fluency is preferred. Ideally, we would prefer someone with experience working in an office environment. Computer skills are essential, as our Mac-based office uses various online applications and software for legal research and administrative purposes. To show your superb attention to detail, please write your favorite snack food in the subject line of your email.

Applicants should have a demonstrated interest in international relations, human rights, and immigration issues. Recent liberal arts graduates are encouraged to apply. A minimum 2-year commitment is expected. This position would be ideal for someone seeking meaningful legal experience before applying to law school or graduate school, and all of our paralegals have done just that. We are looking for someone available to start as soon as possible. We are accepting applications on a rolling basis.

The hours are 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. We offer a competitive hourly salary and benefits such as health insurance and vacation time.

To apply, please email the following to immigrationparalegalsearch@gmail.com:

1. Resume

2. Cover Letter

3. Writing Sample

Please note that if you contact us through means other than the email address listed above, we will disqualify you from consideration. Again, please do not call us or email us through any other email address.
