We are incubating Stockfinder.ai. Stockfinder is in alpha right now and is crowdsourcing hundreds of analyst stock recommendations and comparing them to current prices to surface investment opportunities in stocks. Eventually, we want to incorporate thousands of data signals and automate the investment process in-house with our own funds.
The product has three key components: alerts, backtests, and execution. Today, we have several alerts that text/email/Discord message the user when a custom alert is hit. Backtests are in progress and allow the user to simulate their custom alerts against a prior timeframe to see historical returns and volatility. Execution is the final step, where we will put the highest performing signals to test in a real portfolio.
We are looking for a full-stack developer to help us create more alerts and backtests today. We want to create alerts related to stock price movements, macro trends, and factor rotations. We have several data sources like Intrinio today to pull this from, so it is a matter of building the specified alerts and backtests, and then sourcing the highest quality alerts.
We will build a simple front end in Java to display these alerts to the user and allow them to save and create their own.
