The Massachusetts General Physicians Organization (MGPO) is a multi-specialty medical group dedicated to excellence and innovation in patient care, teaching and research. Its goals are to provide the best patient care possible by measurably improving the quality, continuity and cost effectiveness of our clinical services and make Mass General a better place to work, practice medicine and pursue an academic career. Additionally, the MGPO aims to achieve new standards of excellence and service in our business and administrative functions, and anticipate the needs and opportunities of our evolving environment, and advocate effectively for patients and physicians.
The MGPO is in search of a first year MPH or MPA student interested in healthcare administration and helping with various quality programs. Tasks include: data entry, proofreading communications, basic data analysis (Excel, Access), and building PowerPoint presentations. The job has potential to be a learning opportunity, grant exposure to longer term projects, and attendance at department and project meetings. Additionally, the job may be used for BU School of Public Health practicum, should the position continue into 2021.
The job will start with a commitment of 8-16 hours/week in the fall, with potential for more hours. We are looking for someone to stay on board at least through the school year, with the likelihood of additional hours through the summer.
The position is currently remote through June 2021, with the future location to be determined.
