The Law Offices of Daniel A. McGuinness, P.C. and MFO Law, P.C. are seeking a hardworking, detail-oriented, full-time paralegal. The position pays $23 per hour and includes a monthly MetroCard.
This is a unique paralegal position in that you will be splitting time between a tax controversy attorney and a criminal defense/civil rights attorney who work in the same office. Duties include administrative matters such as scanning and filing documents and scheduling visits and appointments, as well as other tasks such as reviewing discovery, requesting and reviewing client records, drafting, proofreading, and filing motions, letters, and memoranda, and handling other matters as needed.

MFO Law P.C. is a boutique firm specializing in tax controversy, representing both individual and corporate clients in civil and criminal matters involving the IRS, state and city tax agencies, the tax division of the Dept. of Justice, as well as city, state and federal courts in New York. The firm has also represented numerous clients residing throughout the world with undisclosed offshore accounts advising on disclosure and compliance alternatives and guiding them through the process.
The ideal candidate for the paralegal position will be a recent graduate interested in attending law school. Our firm is ideal for people looking to learn about the law and gain first-hand experience working on criminal and civil cases and those involving tax issues. Our prior paralegals have attended the best law schools in the U.S. including U.C. Berkeley, Boston University and Yale.
