Applications are invited from exceptional candidates to join the Brain Aging and Dementia (BAnD) lab @ Massachusetts General Hospital & Harvard Medical School. The successful candidate will join our multidisciplinary research team in investigating neural and vascular properties of dynamic human brain networks using state-of-the-art multimodal in vivo imaging and analytic tools, and will have opportunities to [1] drive forward research on early, potentially treatable, stages of Alzheimer’s disease, [2] master innovative applications of mathematical models and machine learning under the mentorship of senior investigators, [3] bring in novel approaches to data analysis to achieve the study goals, and [4] take lead in accomplishing high-impact short-term objectives to publish discoveries based on our well-curated neuroimaging datasets.
Strong computational skills and excellent scientific writing skills are required. Proficiency in MATLAB and Python as well as research experience in machine learning and signal processing (or relevant course work) are strongly preferred. Experience with functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), magnetoencephalography (MEG), and /or electroencephalography (EEG) and with longitudinal statistical modeling is an asset. This position is for applicants with a doctoral degree (PhD, MD, or similar).
