What We Look For In an SAT Tutor
- Proven SAT Test Prep Experience: Track record of helping students meaningfully improve their SAT scores through 1:1 tutoring, with the ability to speak to specific outcomes and approaches.
- Strategic Tutoring Approach: Ability to assess a student’s baseline, build a personalized study plan, and teach pacing techniques, test-day routines, and strategies to avoid common pitfalls.
- SAT Math Expertise: Strong command of challenging SAT Math concepts with the ability to help students solve problems accurately and efficiently — and explain concepts in multiple ways when needed.
- SAT Reading & Writing Expertise: Strong command of challenging Reading and Writing concepts, including strategies for complex passages and grammar questions under time pressure.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
- Ability to adapt to different learning styles.
- Minimum SAT Score of 1420.
