Job Overview:
This entry-level position presents an outstanding opportunity for a recent graduate or young professional to contribute meaningfully to a fast-paced trade association, located at the center of the innovative and evolving world of digital advertising. The NAI leads self-regulation for privacy practices of companies engaged in developing cutting-edge advertising technologies, and we are the leading trade association promoting public policies that encourage privacy and data best practices. The successful applicant will gain experience working on these issues from different perspectives, including policy, legal, and technical. Significant opportunities for professional growth exist in all of these areas.
Responsibilities may include:
- Support NAI’s policy, legal, and technical teams
- Draft regular newsletter for NAI members
- Coordinate NAI events, including working closely with external event planners organizing the NAI’s annual Summit
- Perform legislative, regulatory and industry market research and analysis
- Coordinate on the development of industry research
- Liaise with and manage relationships with external vendors
- Issue invoices and manage accounts receivable and payable
- Organize and maintain NAI member databases
- Draft blog posts, and develop online content
- Collaborate with communications firm to maintain and update the NAI website, and manage NAI social media feeds (Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook),
- Coordinate NAI educational webinars and membership calls
- Manage annual membership renewal process, including issuing invoices, processing payments, and producing internal membership updates.
- Respond to consumer and external inquiries
- Perform general office management responsibilities
Skills & Education/Experience Required:
- Relevant B.A. or B.S. degree
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Strong writing ability, including the ability to draft documents, emails, and materials for different audiences
- Strong interpersonal skills and verbal communication skills
- Enthusiasm and interest in privacy and technology
- Basic familiarity with Web and Internet technology
- Sound numeracy skills
- Microsoft Office and Google Suite skills
Skills & Education/Experience Preferred:
- Knowledge and interest in public policy
- Experience with or knowledge of the digital advertising industry
- Interest in targeted advertising
- Web and technological knowledge
Location:
This is a hybrid position, with significant flexibility to work in person at NAI’s office in Washington DC, and remotely. In office days will be required per week. DC based or those moving to DC are highly encouraged to apply.
