The Office of State Representative Adrian Madaro seeks an intern to assist with written communications.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) drafting responses to constituent correspondence, drafting outgoing correspondence with constituents, advocates, elected officials, and community leaders, opening and sorting mail, and other tasks to assist staff. Strong writing, organizational, oral communication, and collaborative work skills are required.
East Boston ties and Spanish-language or Arabic-language skills are preferred but not required. We value a diversity of perspectives and seek to increase the pipeline of underrepresented individuals in government and public service. As such, all are encouraged to apply — including first-generation college students, women, people of color, and LGBTQ+ persons.
All interested applicants should submit their resume, cover letter, and two writing samples. The deadline for applying is December 15, 2021.
This opportunity is not paid. However, we are happy to work with educational institutions to help interns obtain course credit.
