Prevu is a real estate technology company on a mission to save homebuyers money. The company’s digital Smart Buyer™ platform offers a homebuying experience with unparalleled control, transparency and savings when purchasing a home. We are looking for a Software Engineering Intern to help continue to scale and maintain this application.

What You’ll Do

• Work closely with the team via remote pair-programming, code review sessions, and pull requests on anything from new feature development to investigating and fixing bugs to developing automated test suites
• Improve and document our onboarding processes and procedures
• Participate in the analysis of project requirements and development of technical specifications

Your Qualifications

Must-have:

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• You have experience working with Ruby (either in class or self learning)
• Driven to learn new technologies
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Eager to learn and always curious about how things work
• Have the ability to solve problems independently

Nice-to-have (but not necessary):

• Ruby framework programming experience with Sinatra, Ruby on Rails, or similar
• Knowledge of CSS, HTML, or Javascript/Typescript
• Familiarity with Git / Github

About Our Internship Program

As an Intern at Prevu, you will join our team for a full-time, paid internship opportunity beginning in either May or June and spend 10-12 weeks working as a valued member of our engineering team. During your internship, you’ll work on real-world projects that will make an impact on our business, and develop practical skills that you can apply throughout the rest of your career. You’ll have the opportunity to:

• Work closely with a dedicated mentor throughout the internship
• Play an integral role in application development and complex problem solving
• Learn how we develop new features and capabilities from concept to production. This includes writing, testing, deploying, monitoring, and more
• Participate in daily scrum and weekly planning meetings
• Learn about the company and our mission to save homebuyers money
