Rita Joseph For NYC Council District 40 is recruiting high-level interns that will assist with engaging in direct voter contact and helping with other campaign projects as needed (such as drafting policy, writing op-eds, etc.). This is an internship program that will be a great opportunity for students and recent graduates to gain real experience working on a competitive, progressive campaign.
Interns will be expected to help the campaign run an energetic and inclusive effort toward achieving Rita’s election to the City Council. We are looking for hard working, community-minded and team-oriented interns to help us.
Rita is an educator, mom, immigrant, and community activist fighting for affordable housing, education reform, and climate, racial, and social justice. She is campaigning to make New York a more equitable city for all of its residents.
Interns will be expected to dedicate at least 10-15 hours each week remotely. College students are strongly urged to seek funding and/or academic credit from their school. Spanish and Haitian Creole speakers, New York City residents, and people of color are strongly encouraged to apply.
