The Fellow, Global Youth Engagement- Reporting is part of the team responsible for the critical role of administering global, multi-year grants to Special Olympics Programs. This position with work with Regions and Programs worldwide. The position will support all reporting functions, communicating directly with Regions and sub-grant receiving Programs to ensure accurate planning, disbursement, and requisite reporting. The Fellow will also manage data and story collection across global projects.
This position is temporary from February 1- July 31, 2021.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and monitoring of the process for sub-grant application, data
collection from participating Programs, creation of regular reports and analysis on data collected
o Serve as first line of review for Program reporting, providing regular summaries and
updates to the grants and Program support team
o Coordinate with the Budget Officer with budget processing, review of Program
reporting, and coordinating the collection of both financial and narrative reporting
o Coordinate the funding application process and use of the online application tool
o When needed, assist Programs with application and reporting
o Validate collected/reported school and student participant metrics with cross-reference
to other organizational data sources
Work directly with Regions and Programs to collect human impact stories and create external
write-ups to provide to donors and external stakeholders
Work with the Senior Manager, Global Youth Engagement to outline grant timelines and review
processes
Work with team members to identify technical assistance needs of the Programs and provide
support in development of resources
Implement tracking for Program’s progress on goals established
Assist Senior Manager, Global Youth Engagement with project budget review and management
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or a related field
Strong background in data collection, management and analysis
Strong organization skills and high level of attention to detail
Self-motivation with ability to work well independently
Strong personal time management and prioritization skills
Demonstrate ability to problem solve
Strong project management skills
Ability to work as a team player and manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel)
Ability to handle large amounts of data in Microsoft Excel
Represent the organization in a professional manner
Demonstrated global awareness and ability to work cross-culturally
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with Special Olympics
Familiarity with record keeping and reporting requirements associated with foundation grants
