The SRI Bioinformatics Research Group seeks a Common Lisp programmer to join the BioCyc and Pathway Tools projects. Pathway Tools is a large Common Lisp software system with a wide range of bioinformatics capabilities for managing and analyzing genome information. These projects are producing a collection of 19,000 pathway/genome databases accessible via the BioCyc.org website with an extensive collection of bioinformatics tools. This role may be based in Menlo Park, CA at SRI International headquarters, or may be remote in the U.S.
Knowledge of and/or experience with one or more of the following required:
- Bioinformatics, biology and/or chemistry
- Computer graphics, user interface design
- Object-oriented databases or frame knowledge representation systems
Education: B.S., M.S, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and/or Bioinformatics.
For Colorado residents, the salary range is: $72,192 – $148,900
