IT PURCHASING AGENT
TNB is currently seeking qualified candidates to fulfill the role of IT Purchasing Agent. Candidates must have some knowledge of computer equipment and customer service experience. The person in this role will earn an hourly rate as well as commission and will be eligible for our robust benefits package.
Role and Responsibilities
Manage the procurement process, including:
Ø Develop strong relationships with vendors and negotiate pricing
Ø Research potential vendors
Ø Creating quotes for equipment for clients and internal users in a timely manner
Ø Submitting order to vendors; tracking and receiving, deliveries
Ø Process returns,
Ø Enter invoicing invoice information into internal databases
Ø Maintain appropriate inventory levels and fulfilling warranty claims, for software, hardware, and third-party vendor services
Ø Prepare, image, and configure new equipment, including operating software or peripheral equipment as required
Ø Attend trade shows and related events
Skills, Education and Training
Ø At least 1 year experience in purchasing or sales role for technology
Ø Good verbal and written communication skills required
Ø Proven record of negotiating prices
Ø Computer skills: MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Ø Familiarity with component level troubleshooting and diagnostics skills
Ø Associates degree in Computer Science preferred or studies in procurement
