Provide engineering support to a U.S. Navy Ship Design Manager Office.

Specific duties include the following:

  • Review test reports, test plans, and drawings for accuracy and compliance to the ship specifications.
  • Generate and review engineering change requests which update ship’s specifications and support the engineering packages provided by the ship yard as an advocate for the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) technical community.
  • Support research projects which includes risk reduction and cost reduction of existing systems by identifying successful designs available in the commercial industry or other classes of ships.

Candidates for this position must be able to perform work independently, communicate effectively over email and during teleconferences, and demonstrate attention to detail.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens with a DoD security clearance or the ability to obtain a clearance.
