From now until January 31, the Scripps Howard Fund is accepting applications for students and people who have graduated in the last 12 months who are looking for opportunities to grow their journalism skills.
These internships pay a minimum of $15 per hour, plus there is an opportunity to apply for additional support.
The Fund is partnering with the Institute for Nonprofit News and the Ida B. Wells Society, to offer paid internships for 10 weeks at 13 nonprofit newsrooms around the country :

Deadline for the internships through the Ida B. Wells Society, which will be at The Current GA and The Maine Monitor, is Jan. 10. Apply here for those internships.
The deadline for all other internships is Jan. 31.
Once selected, an intern can apply to the Fund for a grant to help with housing, relocation, and other expenses to support their ability to accept an internship.
