The Friedlander Group is a New York City-based strategic consulting firm that assists corporate, non-profit organizations, and international entities in creating strategies to navigate the political and public policy arenas of Washington, DC and New York. We represent clients before city, state, and federal officials in both the Executive and legislative branches of government.
We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic spring interns. The internship requires a minimum commitment of 10 hours each week. Our interns will have the opportunity to focus specifically on assisting in the coordination of legislative events and overall interaction with elected officials and their staffs. They will gain experience working with both New York’s and Washington based elected officials, acquiring invaluable knowledge about the way to most develop and implement a strategic plan to further a client’s objective while learning how to navigate the political and government structure of the public policy arena.
– Part-time internship, minimum ten hours a week
– Perform general research on specific legislative bills
– Assist with event coordination and operations
– Event and conference planning
– Provide administrative support
