The Global Warming Mitigation Project (GWMP), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization working to solve the climate crisis through global collaboration and innovation, is organizing the fourth iteration of a virtual internship program with organizations that have applied for the Keeling Curve Prize in the past. Many of these organizations are startups, all working in the climate change space.
There are approximately 20 job postings from partner organizations posted on our website. Please note that all positions are virtual and unpaid. The start date, length of positions, and weekly hours may vary. To apply, please send a resume and cover letter with the “company name” and “job title” in the subject of your email to email@example.com. If you are applying for multiple positions, please send separate emails.
We will be sending applications to our partner organizations on a rolling basis until all positions have been filled. Applications close Sunday, June 13th. The deadline for organizations to confirm their hiring decisions will be Friday, June 25th. The program begins on Monday, June 28th.
If you are hired by an organization, you will become part of our virtual intern cohort for the summer. Students will work remotely with whatever organization hires them and will be expected to complete the tasks laid out and agreed upon between the organization and student/intern. Additionally, we will act as a resource for interns, having scheduled check-ins twice over the course of the summer. We also have a plan for networking opportunities with some of the people affiliated with our organization, all experts in the climate change space.
