The Global Education office at Tufts University seeks applicants for available Student Worker positions. Global Education Student Workers act as the first point of contact for the department, answering questions as students come into the office, provide assistance with general office work (such as photocopying, filing, mailings, etc.), help maintain the Study Abroad Resource Library, and perform other tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements: Must have work-study. Excellent communication and organizational skills are key, with a strong attention to detail. Basic computer knowledge required. Previous office experience is a plus. International or study abroad experience/interest is also desirable. It is preferred that the applicant be available to work at least 4-5 hours a week. Part of the job is to act as a Global Ambassador for the Tufts Global Education office.
Global Ambassadors are responsible for the following:
Ambassadors will be required to participate in and help coordinate events each semester for Tufts Global Education. Answer prospective students’ questions about education abroad in general, create vlogs, blog posts, and digital content for Tufts Global Education.
Attend and help set up events (Study Abroad Fair, STEM Study Abroad Fair, information sessions, advising sessions, pre-departure orientation, re-entry workshop, alumni panels, etc.)
Promote and raise awareness about study abroad opportunities through social media, classroom visits, presentations, and word-of-mouth.
Office hours include Monday – Friday 9am-5pm.
