As the director of the CEEO, Professor Portsmore oversees several different kinds of projects.
Role Models in Elementary Engineering Education Are you curious about how children get interested in and learn engineering? Join our study of elementary engineering classes. Research assistants will help analyze video data from engineering classes, select and edit interesting video clips, and create a website of engineering education resources for K-12 educators. Applicants must be able to understand and transcribe audio recordings and video recordings in English and be able to read and summarize research articles in English. (We will teach you how to use transcription software.) Experience with qualitative data analysis is a plus but not required. We will teach you how to analyze data.
