Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. (UTRS) is currently seeking a Workforce Development Coordinator to join our team! At UTRS, we enjoy the benefits of working in a collaborative environment of close-knit team members. As a company, we provide a wide range of leading-edge engineering, management, and digital services to the public and private sectors. We are looking for someone that will help build the next generation of employees to support our mission. Striving to consistently deliver creative, high-quality, technology-based services to our customers on time and within budget.

This position will be building and coordinating a Workforce Development program to provide on-the-job training and create a continuous stream of viable applicants. The ideal candidate will work closely with UTRS leadership and our contract partners to identify industry needs. Coupled with close ties to local institutions to harness valuable candidates.

What will you be doing?

This position will be a key member of a growing technology and government contracting team. Duties include:

  • Responsible for defining a Workforce Development Program brand and identity.
  • Develop corporate policy around the program to ensure a value to both the candidate and the company.
  • Establish working relationships with local institutions, high schools, trade schools and higher education institutions to recruit candidates. Also to provide avenues for continuing education.
  • Work with the department of labor to define registered apprenticeships.
  • Provide structured program direction within each respective focus area.
  • Engage in regular progress meetings to ensure proper growth and alignment of tasks.

What skills will the ideal candidate have to be successful?

This position will require the following skillsets and experience:

  • Strong understanding of child development.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to interpret state and national labor standards to maintain compliance.
  • Intimate knowledge of public education/curriculum standards and requirements.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Minium bachelor’s in education, master’s is desired.
