This is a 9 month internship to develop a project at a rural public school in Guatemala for children and adults to learn about plant science and kitchen gardening.
The Rural Garden Intern is an unpaid position and is responsible for supporting ViviendasLeón’s executive team and field team to develop a rural farming training program through the creation of a school based kitchen garden project.
The intern will be responsible for the development of the project, its budget and funding sources, coordinating with the executive director, program director in Guatemala and community leadership on the project. During this internship, the Intern will learn about non-profit management, international development, and poverty alleviation.
