Finance/Accounting Intern

Zoetis is seeking an undergraduate finance and/or accounting major to join us for the summer of 2021. While this position may be remote, the work will involve supporting our global finance teams in support of our Shared Services and R&D functions. You will assist our team with R&D project forecasting, financial reporting, month-end close processes and financial process documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist finance team with month-end close with a focus on project expense accounting
- Perform monthly required balance sheet account reconciliations
- Interact with business partners who manage internal research projects
- Collaborate with Global Process Owners and Robotics team to review financial process and help identify process enhancement and automation opportunity
- Support Global Process Owners and Shared Services teams with process assessment and documentation
Internship Qualifications:
Education:
- Candidate for bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Completion of introductory accounting courses, and general understanding of accounting and financial principles
Knowledge, Skills, Ability Requirements:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; Access knowledge helpful
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness and desire to learn and ask questions
Students who are pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited institution with a current class standing of sophomore or above and a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 are eligible for internships at Zoetis. Students must also be 18 years of age or older prior to their scheduled start date, and be able to provide verification that they are enrolled in school and authorized to participate in an internship in the U.S. without immigration sponsorship. Students who are offered internships will need to successfully pass a drug screen and background check within 5 days of offer.
