Summer Associate, Client Service (San Francisco & NYC)
Associate, Client Service (San Francisco & NYC)
AlphaSights Associates work with a range of clients to provide expert knowledge, and associates are at the frontline of that process. Associates build relationships with both AlphaSights clients and industry experts to facilitate the exchange of information between stakeholders.
AlphaSights hires for a range of positions every year, and open opportunities can be found on Tufts Handshake.

What Does a Strong Candidate Look Like?
Candidates who apply for our client service positions, juniors and seniors, are encouraged to apply at the beginning of the academic year.
Students with a 3.3 or higher GPA and interests in a commercial role are strong candidates for our client service team. All students authorized to work in the United States, including those with STEM/OPT eligibility, are welcome to apply for both internship and full-time opportunities.

How to Explore AlphaSights
AlphaSights is eager to connect with interested students at the many events they are hosting at Tufts. Students can connect with the Tufts Recruiter Alex Thrower and Tufts team captain at AlphaSights Sarah Grubman with any questions.
There is a strong Tufts alumni network at AlphaSights, and connecting with this network at events and through independent conversations is a great way to better understand the company and the role.

Best Practices for Applying
Interested candidates should apply early, as applications for both associates and summer associates are reviewed on a rolling basis (meaning as AlphaSights receives them).
Applicants are also strongly encouraged to attend AlphaSights events at Tufts and connect with Tufts alumni working at AlphaSights.

Company Culture
Working as an associate means working in an intense, fast-paced environment and frequently collaborating with senior professionals and business leaders. The bulk of the work will take place between 8 am and 7 pm, but hours can vary, and associates need to be ready to respond to high-priority requests at all times. Throughout one’s time as an associate and at AlphaSights, they’ll be ample opportunity to develop key competencies and take on more responsibility.
The AlphaSights associate position is also different from both consulting and sales roles. Rather than consulting with their clients, AlphaSights associates provide their clients with access to critical knowledge. Additionally, associates at AlphaSights do not have to prospect new clients nor sell a product or service made by someone else, which makes it distinct from a sales position.
Instead, our client service associates serve a dedicated set of clients and connect them with relevant experts to help our clients make informed business decisions. This client-facing, target-focused role helps associates develop strong business acumen and communication skills.
