Tufts Career Center Signature Programs

#Adulting

This professional development programming has been designed especially for seniors. Whether you’re starting your search, have secured a position, or just thinking about next steps in your career journey, there is something for everyone! Past #Adulting topics have included young alumni panels and full-day conferences with sessions on negotiation, managing personal finances, identity in the workplace, and more.

Career Courses

Jump start your career development journey with one of our Ex College courses! Led by expert career advisors, these courses use major career development theories to help students apply key concepts to their own career development processes, focusing on thoughtful self-reflection, major and career exploration, and the value of internships as tools in the exploration and decision-making process. Through activities, reading assignments, analysis, and writing, students will discover more about themselves and the world of work.

Career Fellows

Career Fellows are professionally-trained peer advisors who work with students both online and around campus. These energetic individuals are committed to helping you strengthen your resume and cover letters, find internships, explore career resources, and more.

Career Treks

Treks are a great way for students to get a behind-the-scenes look at employers in various career fields.  Employer and alumni volunteers will talk about their day-to-day work and what it takes to succeed in their fields.

Internship Grants

Each summer we fund 40-50 undergraduate students doing unpaid internships. These funds offer students the opportunity to explore career fields and gain experience. Selected students will receive $4,000. Students must secure an internship prior to the deadlines.

Professionals in Residence

Tufts alumni pursue fascinating careers in a variety of industries. Every fall and spring, the Career Center gathers talented alumni volunteers to share their career experiences and advice with students of all class years and majors. Through both 1-on-1 appointments and an interactive Lunch & Learn, these alumni provide insider info about jobs, employers, career paths, and more.

Sophomore Career Summit

Discover.  Engage.  Connect. The Sophomore Summit is a day of career readiness and networking activities that allow students to connect with alumni and other professionals, learn about internship search strategies and options, and much more.

Virtual Industry Fairs

During the Fall 2020 semester, Tufts will host three industry fairs and one general career and internship fair to support the needs of students from all majors and backgrounds. We will be hosting additional industry-themed fairs and one additional general fair in the Spring semester as well. Visit Handshake for Fair dates, times, and employers represented.
