>> So, my name is John Scargall. And I am a recording artist for a living. My song, "Leave it On the Track" is the NASCAR video game theme song for this year for 2015. You know, I have a notebook. You know, anytime that I hear a phrase or somebody say something or it just pops in my head, I'll write down a title idea. So, that's number one. You can start with a title idea. Number two is you might just have a melody, you know, in your head, and you just have to record it. That's what my iPhone app is for. And then I, you know, put it in the iPhone, put the voice recorder on, sing, da, da, da, da, da, whatever it is. And then, you know, store it away and then I'll go and during my time that I do songwriting every day I'll get it out. Same thing I do with the title. So, I'll start with a melody sometimes. And sometimes it's like a song is just wanting to be written. And you just go at it. So, that's just, and that's just one aspect of the business. And then you have other promotion things like your merchandise. You know, making sure you got all your merch in order. And obviously I'm on a record label, so I have partners in this process. I've got my manager. I've got the label team. So, those guys are supporting me. And, you know, my manager is a great manager. His name is Pat O'Connor. He, you know, opens a ton of doors. So, he's, you know, a great, great manager and a good friend quite frankly. So, I mean, it's, I've got a lot of help. And they're awesome. But it is, it's definitely more than just writing music and performing. That's the part that you do it for, but it's definitely as much an entrepreneurial endeavor as it is creative.
