Meet the Panelists – Diversity & Career Discovery Programs for Real Estate on Feb. 9

As a student at a liberal arts college, do you ever wonder how to enter into a career in real estate? 🤔 Are you fascinated by the idea of working in real estate or building wealth through investment properties? 👍 If so, attend the lunchtime panel on Wednesday, February 9th from 12:00pm-12:45pm to learn about Diversity & Career Discovery Programs for Real Estate. Learn more about the panelists – including two Jumbo alum 🐘 🐘 who will be available to answer your questions and speak about their experience in the field.

Stephanie Pon, Tufts A'20 Stephanie Pon is a 2020 grad with a B.S. in Environmental Engineering who was a member of the Varsity Swimming & Diving Team. The summer after her Junior year, Stephanie participated in the Commercial Real Estate Success Training (CREST) Internship Program where she completed a rotation program exploring various aspects of engineering in commercial real estate. She assisted with projects and fieldwork and conducted topical research specific to departments. She also presented at the CREST Closing Ceremony and completed professional development workshops through CREST.

Milton Benjamin, Headshot Milton Benjamin is the is founder and president of the KAGE Growth Strategies, LLC. The firm advises on and implements diversity, equity, and inclusion solutions for the commercial real estate profession. His company, KAGE, co-founded and manages CREST (mentioned above), which facilitates summer internships for BIPOC and female college students. CREST interns have been placed in over forty firms across MA. He is excited to tell you more about the CREST internship program.

Jordan Yarboro graduated in 2009 with a B. A. in International Relations. While at Tufts, he was two-time captain and All-American for the nationally-ranked men’s lacrosse team. He has spent the past 12 years of his career working in Real Estate at JLL. As a member of the Suburban brokerage team, Jordan specializes in advisory and transaction services for office, R&D, industrial, and laboratory tenants and landlords. Jordan’s early success in this role lead to the Commercial Broker Association’s (CBA) honoring him with the Rising Star award in 2015. Jordan will share information about CBA’s Diversity Impact Fund (apply by February 15, 2022).

Rebekah Lightfoot has over 15 years of experience as a Senior Vice President at JLL as the Director of Operations and Sales Enablement Lead for JLL’s New England Region. In her role, she is responsible for establishing business development and client retention strategies for sustainable growth. Rebekah also manages the JLL internships program. JLL is a platinum sponsor of CREST, and students who participate in the CREST program have been placed at JLL. Rebekah will share information about JLL summer 2022 internships.
