One of our favorite resources from the Mass Cultural Council is Hire Culture, a free, searchable database of cultural employment opportunities throughout Massachusetts. You’ll see organizations like these (and more!) represented:
- Art museums
- Theaters
- Community music centers
- Symphonies
- Historic sites
- Community television
- Galleries
- Other arts-related nonprofits
You’ll find full-time, intern, and other positions types in a variety of creative contexts: artistic, development/fundraising, education, production/design, PR, and writing/editing.
A quick note about hiring timelines: If you look for opportunities this fall and don’t see quite as many as you’d like, it’s partly because arts organizations tend to recruit their talent in the spring.
