Internship Spotlight: The Front Porch Arts Collective

Current student Chance Walker shared the following about being an Intern at The Front Porch Arts Collective…

How did you find this internship?
Through a professor.

What did you enjoy most about your internship?
Being introduced to new works. As a writer myself, I felt inspired and loved reading works by BIPOC playwrights.

What did you find challenging?
Learning theater terminology. I have not had as much experience being immersed in the behind-the-scenes aspects of theater, but have developed a deep appreciation of what goes on to execute a show

What advice would you offer to someone who wants to make the most of an internship like yours?
Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there and ask questions if you don’t understand!
