Career Fair Prep & Employers Who Sponsor – International Student Edition

The Tufts Career Center is looking forward to hosting two Spring 2024 Career Fairs and we wanted to share some insider tips with our international students.

Feb. 1st – 1 pm – 4 pm EST – Biotech & Life Science Career Fair – Virtual via Handshake – Registration Opens Thursday, January 25th at 11 am

Feb. 9th – 11:30 am – 2:30 pm EST – Career Fair for all students – In-Person in Gantcher Center – Registration Opens, Monday, January 29th at 9 am

Note:  The lists below do not highlight employers that offer CPT/OPT, students will be able to see that information on the individual positions posted by each company in Handshake.   We recommend that students conduct research of each company in advance to know about their jobs, internships, and co-ops.

Students should also plan to bring printed copies of their resumes to the In-Person Career Fair and to make their resume “public” in Handshake for employers to access before and after the virtual and in-person career fairs.

The Career Center recommends preparing a short introduction to yourself that includes your name, class year, major, and what you are seeking (internship, co-op, job, etc.) and then having at least one question to ask the recruiter based on your research of the specific company.

Please make sure to ask for contact information for any recruiter/representative that you meet during the virtual or in-person career fairs so you can write thank you notes and follow-up on any further questions you may have about opportunities listed in Handshake or on the employer’s website.
