Tufts Mentoring Programs
The Tufts Career Center is partnering with the Office of Alumni Engagement to pilot mentoring programs for students and alumni.
FIRST Center Career Mentoring Program
This program is a collaboration with the Tufts FIRST Resource Center, the Tufts Career Center, and the Office of Alumni Engagement. The FIRST Center supports the first-generation, low-income, and undocumented student communities at Tufts. This program began in the Fall of 2023 as a pilot program. The peer leaders (sophomores, juniors, and seniors) of the FIRST Center will receive career mentorship from alumni.
- Mentors and mentees are required to meet for a minimum of 4 times (5 are highly preferred) during September -April.

Africana Center Career Mentoring Program
This program is a collaboration with the Tufts Africana Center, the Tufts Career Center, and the Office of Alumni Engagement. This program will begin in the Fall of 2024. Peer leaders (sophomores, juniors, and seniors) of the Africana Center will receive career mentorship from alumni from September-April.

Tufts Lawyers Association Early Career Mentoring Program
The Tufts Lawyers Association is excited to pilot an alumni-alumni mentoring program. Alumni who are pre-law, in law school, or who are <10 years fron graduating law school and employed as practicing attorneys are matched with seasoned attorneys for a six month program.
Mentors and mentees are required to fulfill the following elements of the program. If you anticipate being unable to fulfill the requirements, please defer application until a future cycle of the program. Learn more here.
- Virtual orientation for mentors and mentees hosted by the Tufts Lawyers Association Mentoring Program Coordinators and the Office of Alumni Engagement/Alumni Career Services
- At least three 1-1 career conversations, in-person and/or virtually, during the six month program
- A professional development webinar for all mentees led by TLA attorneys
- A closing networking social for all participants
- Mentors are encouraged to offer an office visit and/or tour as appropriate
- Mentees are encouraged to join the TLA and join us for educational, professional, and social events
